RTA New Media students create interactive art display for 2015 TIFF Kids International Film Festival

This semester, 26 RTA New Media students collaborated with international artist Micah Elizabeth Scott to co-create Forest, for the TIFF Kids digiPlaySpace. Forest is an interactive light wall made up of over 7,500 LEDs that allows visitors to manipulate paths of light by turning wooden spinners. RTA Professors Steve Daniels and David Bouchard led the project with Ryerson new media alumna and digiPlaySpace curator, Nick Pagee. Scott provided the artistic concept and technical leadership, while students volunteered more than 2,000 hours of time to assist with its construction and installation. The exhibit runs from March 8 to April 21, 2015.
