Peter Moss has worked in both private and public broadcasting. He has been the creative head of children’s programming for the CBC, vice president of programming and production for YTV and Treehouse TV, and executive vice president of programming and development for all of Corus' TV channels. He has also been an executive producer for The Children’s Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop), president of Cinar Animation, and worked extensively as a director and producer within the industry.
Moss' productions have been finalists at the New York Film and Video Festival, The Houston International Festival, The Chicago Film Festival and Prix Jeunesse. His work has garnered multiple Gemini nominations, a Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) Best Team Achievement Award, Kidscreen’s International Jury Award and a Daytime Emmy Award. Moss was also nominated for a DGC Award for Best Director /TV Movie or Mini-series and won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Director/ TV Movie or Mini-series. He has worked as a director at the Stratford Festival, and for a number of other theatres, and was the artistic director of the Young People's Theatre in Toronto for 11 seasons.
