After RTA (’81), Terry went on to become an award-winning copywriter at Canada’s top creative advertising agencies. He then co-founded Pirate Radio & Television, which became the country’s largest audio production company, with eight recording studios in Canada and New York City. The advertising industry has given Terry three lifetime achievement awards (one for advertising, one for his television work and a Hall of Fame award).
He is co-creator and host of the award-winning CBC radio show The Age of Persuasion that began in 2005, and recently launched an updated series titled Under The Influence. The radio series has been awarded the Grand Trophy at the New York Radio Festivals two years in a row, and iTunes chose it as The Best New Podcast of 2011. He also co-authored a best-selling book titled The Age of Persuasion: How Marketing Ate Our Culture, which was published in Canada, the U.S. and China.
