Media Production (BA) / Experiential Learning

The program is designed to offer media production students unique opportunities to hone their talents through the development of broadcast quality productions and/or participate in funded media research, working directly with endowed research chairs and other graduate faculty within Ryerson. Media production students also have the opportunity to complete a professional project or major research paper to fully integrate the theoretical, applied, and empirical streams of their program learning.

At RTA, media production students can also gain industry exposure for their work, which is invaluable to their career development. Opportunities for learning and development include:

  • Host a radio show with SpiritLive
  • Volunteer in Ghana to set up a local community radio station

  • Compete to showcase work for industry at the RTA UpFront
  • Celebrate the achievements of RTA students at the Tara Awards
