Dana Lee, an Associate Professor here in the RTA School of Media, has been awarded the 2017 Ryerson University President’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Regarded as one of the most prestigious awards at Ryerson, this award recognizes outstanding educators who demonstrate continuing teaching excellence and contributions to advancing teaching and learning at the University.
“Dana's unwavering commitment and passion for teaching is truly extraordinary,” said Michael Coutanche, Chair of the RTA School of Media. “With his innovative and accessible methods, engaging style, and special connection to students, Dana embodies the very best of what we do here in RTA. His impact resonates well beyond the classroom as many of his students have gone on to successful careers and lives thanks to his contagious enthusiasm and energy.”
“Dana Lee is an extraordinary professor who consistently goes well above and beyond the call of duty and is a favourite professor amongst all of our students” said Lori Beckstead, also an Associate Professor in the RTA School of Media.
This award closely follows Dana's recognition as one of Ontario's most outstanding university teachers by the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations (OCUFA) in September.
Congratulations Dana! Thank you for your vital and dedicated contributions to the RTA School of Media.
