Curtis Maloley has been teaching courses in sport media, popular culture, and sociology at Ryerson University and Humber College for over ten years. Previously, he worked as an Editorial Assistant at The Sports Network (TSN) writing scripts and feature stories for SportsCentre, That's Hockey, and various other shows. Since joining Ryerson in 2011, Curtis has received a Dean's Teaching Award, an Alan Shepard Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award, and was voted as a "Prof Who Made a Mark" by undergraduate students living in Ryerson Residence. He also works as an Educational Developer in Ryerson's Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching where he coordinates the Graduate Teaching Development Program. When he's not teaching, Curtis can usually be found outdoors: he enjoys hiking, canoeing, camping, and playing softball, hockey, soccer, tennis, and golf.
