Dan Misener is head of strategy and audience development at Pacific Content, an award-winning podcast agency whose clients include Facebook, Dell Technologies, Mozilla, McAfee, Charles Schwab, Prudential, and Shopify. Prior to joining Pacific Content, Danspent 10 years at CBC Radio, both on-air and behind-the-scenes. He was a producer on Spark, a show exploring the intersection of technology and culture, as well as a national technology columnist.
In his spare time, Dan hosts Grownups Read Things They Wrote as Kids, an award-winning podcast and long-running live event series which has been featured by The Guardian, USA Today, The Globe and Mail, and has been named an Apple Podcasts 'Best Of' twice.
Dan is a graduate of the RTA School of Media, and taught radio and sound courses here in RTA for several years. He has also taught podcasting at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto.
As Broadcaster in Residence, Dan will give talks and workshops, mentor students, guest lecture, and help keep RTA connected to the radio and podcasting industries.
